Arts & Crafts Buildings
CACC (Continental Arts and Crafts Club) was founded in 1983
We offer stained glass, fused glass, pottery and ceramic instruction/sessions. We have a pottery kiln, 2 glass kilns and 2 kilns for ceramics. Ceramic crafter's must purchase their own green ware/bisque. A dollar a pound is charged for clay. We have a large supply of donated paints & brushes that may used free of charge. Glass crafter's can make their first small sun catcher at no cost. After that there is a fee for each project. These proceeds are used to purchase more fusible and stained glass along with other supplies.
If you are interested in pottery we are lucky enough to have renowned potter Harold Littlebird whose work is displayed in the Smithsonian Museum and the Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian. He calls his work stories in clay. His classes are available in the fall. Check our CCC Arts and Crafts web page on Facebook for times dates and classes.
We offer instruction in other crafts—from resin, acrylic painting, jewelry making, origami box folding, mosaic's and & card making–just to mention a few. There is a material charge for most of these classes. You can be a guest of Arts and Crafts two times after that you must be a member of CACC to participate in any craft. Our dues are $15.00 a year. We would love to have you. If you have guests or friends they are welcome to attend classes and art media with you as long as they are not residents of CCC. ( if they are as stated before they may be a guest twice)
We have monthly Luncheon/Meetings on the last Thursday of each month in the CCC Magnolia Room. The cost is $11.00 We usually have speakers to talk about and demonstrate their art media. We also sell 50/50 tickets and raffle tickets to support our club. November and Decembers luncheons will be earlier due to the Holidays. November 21, 2024 and December 19, 2024.
