Are you ready? Yes it’s hurricane season with our peak period being September through October. We have partnered with The Villages C.E. R. T. (Community Emergency Response Team) This program is open to all CCC residents. Click the CERT image to see the responsiblities taken on by the team. Your safety is very important to us. "Our focus is on helping during an emergency. Part of that, like today, is making sure emergency vehicles can get to our residents. We are trained in first aid, fire suppression, search and rescue, and other emergency disciplines. We are here to augment first responders, not replace them. The thought is that CERT members in the community can possibly get there first and assist until first responders arrive. We can do many emergency and non-emergency activities, such as clear streets, direct traffic, do wellness checks, provide first aid during events, install smoke detectors and change batteries. Our motto is to do the greatest good for the largest number of people."
